How to Use:

  1. After turning on the device, apply gel to the probe.
  2. Lie down, gently press the probe on your belly, and move it slowly to locate the fetal heartbeat.
  3. When you hear a consistent "roaring" sound, you've found the heartbeat. Press the probe firmly at this point, and the machine will measure the fetal heart rate within seconds.
  4. A typical fetal heart rate ranges between 110-160 bpm.
  5. For best results, start the search from the lower abdomen and work upwards.

Best Times to Monitor Fetal Heart Rate:

  1. Within 30 minutes of getting up in the morning.
  2. Within 60 minutes after lunch.
  3. Within 30 minutes before bedtime.

Fetal Heart Position Reference:

  • First trimester (12-24 weeks): Below the belly button, 5 points on the left, right, and middle.
  • Second trimester (24-32 weeks): Midline of the navel and 4 points below it.
  • Third trimester (32-40 weeks): 4 diagonal points from the navel.

 

Note: Ensure you hear the distinct fetal heartbeat before relying on the displayed numbers. If no regular heartbeat is detected, the readings may be inaccurate.

Keep adjusting the device to locate the heartbeat. If the baby’s heartbeat isn't found, the Doppler will automatically shut down.
